The following is a reposting of a press release by our partners at Multimedia Technology.
Multimedia Technology (MMT) announced today that they have struck a distribution agreement with Canadian cybersecurity vendor D3 Security, making them D3 Security’s value-added distributor in the Australasian region.
Based in Vancouver, D3 Security’s NextGen SOAR platform is disrupting the SOAR market and is well-known for its advanced security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) capabilities with a fully embedded MITRE ATT&CK Matrix. The launch into the Australian market comes on the back of D3’s massive success overseas, boasting deployments in American enterprises like Amazon, as well as a high rate of adoption among MSSPs.
For Carey Hassall, MMT’s Strategic Partnership Manager, the deal with D3 is all about connecting resellers with the latest innovations in the global market. “It’s beyond exciting to bring a vendor of D3 Security’s calibre into Australia,” Hassall said. “SOAR brings a huge amount of value to the security stack and addresses so many pain points felt by today’s SOCs. D3 is focused purely on SOAR and has the best platform in the market, with codeless drag-and-drop playbooks and over 500+ product integrations.”
This statement comes backed by consulting giants including Gartner and KuppingerCole, both of whom have recognized D3 Security as a global leader in the SOAR market.
D3 Security’s Director of Global Channel, Steve Martin, is equally excited about the partnership and launch into the Australian market. “Every year, more organizations around the world are learning the simple fact that SOAR can make them more secure, agile, and efficient,” he said. “We are excited to collaborate with MMT, one of Australia’s most highly regarded distributors, to bring those benefits to their customers.”
Martin added that MMT’s massive reseller network, combined with a lack of alignment to competing SOAR vendors, makes them the ideal distribution partner. “Possibly D3’s biggest advantage is that we are the world’s leading vendor-agnostic SOAR platform,” Martin said. “Our competitors generally offer the full range of cybersecurity solutions and focus on keeping partners entirely within their own ecosystems. D3 only makes SOAR, and our platform is designed to integrate the solutions of all vendors into a single pane of glass.”
Mark Eichler, who heads up the Purchasing Division at Multimedia Technology, expressed that the new partnership is a fantastic inclusion to their vendor portfolio. “Although cybersecurity hasn’t traditionally been a focus of ours, we recognise the increasing growth and demand.” He continued, “We’re now in a position where we’ve got the right infrastructure and technical knowledge to extend this offering whilst maintaining the quality service we’re known to consistently deliver.”
